~ Laura and New Music Arts have a new studio space at the Celtic Junction in St. Paul! This means Laura can once again offer lessons in the Twin Cities area, as well as from her home studio in Northfield, MN.

~ Looking forward ~ 2012...More music on the horizon with Dáithí Sproule, and with Northern Gael - the new trio of L. MacKenzie, Ross Sutter and step dancer/fiddler Danielle Enblom. Plus, a great delve into Scots Gaelic music and language.

~ 2011 was abundant with projects ... Laura enjoyed collaborating and performing with Australian composer/musician Garry Jones, with a program of Irish Music and Mythology based on Jones' compositions, touring in winter and fall of 2011. Click HERE for our page, as Talún....Also, music with fabulous Scottish accordionist Neil Gunn; "Steerage Song" at the Fitzgerald Theater; beginning a collaboration with sean nós step dancer/fiddler Danielle Enblom and Ross Sutter; studio work with Bruce Burnside; playing in the house band for Circus Juventas with Peter Ostroushko, more music with Gary Rue and with The Lads...and we have begun a Traditional Irish Session at The Contented Cow pub in Northfield, Minnesota, our new homebase.

~ Ross & MacKenzie have launched their CD "Ye Banks and Braes ~ Songs and Music of Robert Burns" . The CD is available on this website and also on the Ross & MacKenzie website.
